Hereford is home. We live and work here, which means we can usually get out to
measure up within the same week and we’re ten minutes away if something needs looking at after
a job.

The houses we work in

Hereford’s housing is a real mix and each type brings its own tiling problem. The Victorian and
Edwardian terraces around Whitecross, Barton and St James have suspended timber floors that
flex — those need overboarding or a decoupling membrane before large-format tiles go anywhere
near them. The post-war estates in Belmont, Redhill and Tupsley tend to have solid concrete
floors that are sound but rarely level, so a self-levelling compound is often part of the job.
Newer builds around Three Elms and Holmer are usually flat but have plasterboard walls that
need checking before heavy tiles go up.

Getting around the city

We know which streets we can’t park a van on and where we’ll be carrying tiles from. If you’re
in the centre or on one of the terraced streets off Whitecross Road, tell us when you ring and
we’ll plan deliveries around it rather than blocking your neighbours in.

Villages around Hereford

We cover the villages as readily as the city: Belmont, Credenhill, Burghill, Marden,
Withington, Lugwardine, Bartestree, Clehonger and Kingstone are all normal working distance,
with no call-out charge for a quote.
