Bathroom tiling
Walls and floors tiled, sealed and finished — from a single splashback to a full bathroom.
Learn moreTiling in Leominster, HR6 and the north Herefordshire villages.
Leominster is twenty minutes up the A49 and we cover the town and the villages
around it as part of our normal patch.
North Herefordshire has a lot of older rural property, and the tiling questions there are
different from a town bathroom. Farmhouse floors are often laid straight onto earth or old
lime screed with no damp-proof membrane; put porcelain on that without dealing with the
moisture and you get a floor that lifts in patches a year later. Timber-framed cottages have
walls that move and floors that are anything but level. We’ll tell you what the floor actually
needs — which sometimes means a bigger prep job than you were expecting, and always means
hearing it at the quote rather than halfway through.
Out here most jobs include a utility or boot room, and that’s where tile choice really matters:
it wants a surface that copes with mud, dogs and wet boots and still cleans up, so we’ll steer
you away from anything polished or pale-grouted.
In the town itself — the terraces off Etnam Street, the estates towards Barons Cross — the work
is more familiar: bathrooms being replaced, kitchen floors in porcelain, splashbacks.
