Not everything needs ripping out. A tired bathroom often just needs the grout and
silicone renewed — a day’s work that can take years off a room.
What we repair
Cracked and loose tiles (bring us a spare if you have one), failed grout, mouldy silicone, and
tiles sounding hollow underfoot, which usually means poor adhesive coverage underneath.
When a repair isn’t the answer
If water has got behind the tiling, patching is a waste of money — the plasterboard behind will
already be soft. We’ll tell you honestly which of the two you’re looking at, and we’d rather turn
down a repair than take payment for one that won’t last.
